Q: Why is it a subscription pricing model?
Unfortunately a one-time purchase just wouldn’t be enough to sustain Chromatose long-term.
Subscriptions help keep Chromatose alive, independent, and evolving.

Q: Can I use my subscription on multiple devices?
Yes!
Your subscription is associated with your Apple account. You can use your Chromatose subscription on any iPhone, or iPad (and the future Mac version) that you are logged-in to. There’s no need to purchase additional licenses for each device.
Q: Is there a student discount?
We have activated “Apple School Manager for volume purchases”, which allows for a 50% discount to educational institutions when they purchase 20 or more copies of Chromatose through “Apple School”.
Please contact the relevant person or department at your school responsible for such software purchases.

Q: Must I connect to the internet to use the app?
No, but you must connect at least once per subscription billing period to sync your purchase status. This avoids interruptions to your Pro plan benefits.
Supported Devices
Q: Does Chromatose work on my iPhone/iPad?
Chromatose officially supports the latest major version series of iOS (i.e. 26.*.*) and the previous 2 major versions’ latest patch versions (i.e. 17.7.7 and 18.7.6). All devices compatible with those versions are supported. However, some features and complex patches may not perform well on older devices.

Q: Is there an Android or Windows version available?
Currently there are no plans for Android or Windows versions.
Q: Is there a Mac version available?
Not yet. A Mac version is planned but there is no release date yet.
